ShapeGrabber Takes Leading Role at RAPID 2014 Conference

Designer and manufacturer of automated 3D laser scanners to speak, exhibit, and provide training at additive manufacturing and 3D technologies event.

09 June, 2014 Ottawa, Canada– ShapeGrabber, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quality Vision International, the world’s largest vision metrology company, will speak, exhibit, and provide 3D scanner training at the RAPID 2014 conference and exposition being held in in Detroit, Michigan this week.

In addition to providing live demonstrations of its Ai310 automated laser scanner at booth 1605, ShapeGrabber will offer a comprehensive introduction to 3D scanning technologies, software, and processes as a member of the RAPID Fundamentals of 3D Scanning and 3D Modeling Workshop on Monday, June 9th. There, ShapeGrabber’s David O’Connor, Manager, Applications Engineering, will provide hands-on 3D scanner training and discuss the latest automated scanner developments.

On June 11th, ShapeGrabber President Pierre Aubrey will co-chair a panel discussion with industry leaders on the future of 3D scanning for inspection and reverse engineering. This discussion, entitled Where Does it Go From Here?, will comment on the growth of 3D scanning technologies, examine upcoming trends, and answer audience questions.
